In our work, you can expect a collaborative space that prioritizes your safety and autonomy. We move at a pace that honors your nervous system, using a blend of conversation and creative tools to explore your concerns. Whether we are mapping a relational cycle or processing a difficult memory, the goal is always the same: to move from a state of survival and disconnection toward a more integrated, secure sense of self.

I do not accept insurance directly and am considered an out-of-network provider. However, many PPO plans offer out-of-network benefits. I provide a monthly “superbill” (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement of a portion of my fees.
Many Howard County insurance plans - like Federal BCBS or high-tier employer plans - often reimburse 60-80% of the "allowable amount,
Please note that fees are due at the time of service and can be made using a secure, online payment system.

Yes. I believe that therapy should be accessible, and I reserve a limited number of slots in my practice for reduced-fee sessions for those facing financial hardship. Please feel free to ask about current sliding-scale availability during our initial consultation.

Most insurance companies require a medical necessity to provide reimbursement, which usually means a formal diagnosis. Some insurance plans do not cover V-codes (such as general relationship distress or life transitions) without an accompanying mental health diagnosis. I recommend calling your provider to ask specifically if they cover CPT code 90837 (Individual) or 90847 (Relationship) for your specific plan.

While Relationship Therapy (for two people) typically lasts 50 minutes, Family Therapy sessions are scheduled for 80 minutes to allow enough time for every voice in the system to be heard. Because these sessions require additional clinical time and coordination, they are billed at a higher rate.

My physical office is located at 8370 Court Avenue in Historic Ellicott City, high above Main Street in an old, converted farmhouse. It is easily accessable from both Route 40 and Frederick Road near the Baltimore/Howard County line, this central location easily serves clients from Howard, Montgomery, Anne Arundel and Baltimore Counties, as well as Baltimore City and the surrounding metropolitan area.
Parking is entirely FREE with several convenient options depending on your preference:
On-Site Parking: There is a small parking area immediately in front of the building, as well as a row of additional spots directly to the right of the office.
The Courthouse Lot (Highly Preferred): Located directly behind the office is a large, free parking lot for the former Circuit Courthouse, which offers flat, level access to the building.
Lot E (Main Street): Located in front of and below the office off of Main Street. This lot is also completely free. However, keep in mind that this option involves climbing several flights of stairs to get up to Court Avenue.
For those who prefer the comfort and convenience of their own space, or for clients living elsewhere in Maryland, I also provide high-quality telehealth sessions via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.
-
Yes. I provide telehealth sessions to anyone living in the state of Maryland. Virtual therapy is a highly effective and convenient option for those with busy schedules, transportation barriers, or who simply feel most comfortable in their own environment.
To ensure your privacy and the quality of our connection, I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. We work together to ensure your virtual space feels just as safe and identity-affirming as my physical office, allowing us to maintain a secure base regardless of the distance.

While my background in change management informs my understanding of professional systems, therapy goes deeper into the “why” behind your patterns. Coaching is often goal-oriented and focused on future performance. Therapy is a clinical process where we map your attachment history and process underlying emotions to create lasting, internal change.
-
My practice integrates relationally-oriented and experiential therapies, including Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), to explore how personal history shapes current relationships. By blending these modalities with Gestalt techniques, we use creative tools and in-the-moment awareness to help you move from basic survival to deep, meaningful connection. For those interested in exploring how these therapeutic frameworks work, Psychology Today and GoodTherapy offer excellent, comprehensive resources.
-
Absolutely. I provide poly-aware and identity-affirming care for all relationship constellations. Whether you are navigating polyamory, consensual non-monogamy (CNM), or other open structures, we work together to strengthen communication and security within your unique relationship ecosystem.
-
Gender-affirming care means that your identity is respected as a fundamental truth, not a symptom to be treated. In our work, I provide a safe, celebratory space to explore gender identity and expression. I follow WPATH standards of care and support clients through social, medical, or legal transitions with a focus on autonomy and empowerment.

You don’t need to be an artist for experiential tools to be effective. These tools - like mapping relationship dynamics or using symbolic metaphors - are simply different ways to bypass the “logical brain” and access deeper feelings. If a specific tool doesn't resonate with you, we won't use it. Our work is always collaborative and tailored to what feels most helpful for your growth.
